FREEDOM ForwardFostering Recovery, Education, and Empowerment to Develop Opportunities for Moving Forward.

Building skills, restoring hope, creating opportunities.

FREEDOM Forward is a comprehensive, year-long education and skill development program designed to help adults with mental health disabilities build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed for greater independence and community participation. Our program recognizes that lasting progress is achieved through collaboration. FREEDOM Forward works alongside participants, guardians, public administrators, family members, physicians, behavioral health professionals, nursing facilities, treatment providers, case managers, and community organizations. Rather than replacing existing services, we strengthen them by providing additional educational tools, practical skill development and opportunities to demonstrate progress over time.

FREEDOM Forward is an educational program. It is not a treatment program, legal service, or guardianship provider. Instead, it complements existing treatment, support, and guardianship services by helping participants develop practical skills, document progress, and prepare for greater independence.

How it works

Participants engage in two structured groups each weekday throughout a one-year curriculum. The program includes a six-phase core curriculum, daily supplemental learning with specialized workbooks, practical life skills development, recovery-focused education, individualized goal setting, and a restoration portfolio documenting growth. Every lesson supports measurable progress and collaboration with each participant’s support team.

Our Mission

FREEDOM Forward exists to help people discover what is possible through education, encouragement, and opportunity. We believe that every individual deserves meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, demonstrate progress, and pursue greater independence. We work collaboratively and respectfully with every member of a participant’s support team.

Why FREEDOM Forward

The answer to “why” is found in who we serve. FREEDOM Forward is designed to support adults with mental health disabilities while working in partnership with guardians, public administrators, family members, and providers.
